FAQ
Are all of your Curated Collections prints limited edition?

All Curated Collections prints are limited edition and are available in 4 sizes. Each limited edition comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.

A0 – Limited Edition of 5
A1 – Limited Edition of 10
A2 – Limited Edition of 15
A3 – Limited Edition of 20

What are the dimensions of your unframed prints?

All unframed prints are printed on A series size paper. Each print includes an internal border that varies between 20mm and 80mm, dependant on paper size.

The dimensions stated below refer to the finished paper size.

A0 – 1189 x 841mm
A1 – 841 x 594mm
A2 – 594 x 420mm
A3 – 420 x 297mm

What are the dimensions of your framed prints?

A3 – A1 framed prints are strung and ready to hang. A0 framed prints have heavy duty D-rings to ensure safe hanging.

Frames come with acid free backing boards and standard 2mm glass. All frames are cleanly tapped on the back for a professional finish.

The final framed print includes the white border of the print, with no matt board. The paper is set back from the glass face to protect the print from any potential damage.

The frame style is a boxed frame, which is 20mm wide and 30mm deep. Due to the larger frame size and additional weight from glass, all A0 frames the frame will be 20mm wide and 40mm deep.

The dimensions stated below refer to the finished frame size.

A0-  895mm x 1240mm
A1 – 635mm x 880mm
A2 – 450mm x 625mm
A3 – 330mm x 450mm

What are the dimensions of your canvas prints?

Canvas art prints are finished in a clean style float frame. Printed on a durable and UV protected 420g/m2 premium cotton/poly blend canvas.

The frame is 10mm wide and 45mm deep. There is an approximate 5mm space between the inside of frame and the canvas edge.

The dimensions stated below refer to the finished frame size.

A0 – 1220 x 875mm
A1 – 875 x 625mm
A2 – 625 x 450mm

How many prints will be included in each collection?

Each collection will include a release of 6 prints. I may look to change this in the future, but for now, 6 just feels about right.

Why don't you name your art?

I have chosen not to name my art, as I want the viewer to make their own connection and see it through their eyes. Each and every one of us sees our world differently and I want that perspective to carry through with the art I create.

Each artwork has been given a unique identifier, which is made up from a combination of the image number and the release number. The purpose of this identifier is to simply distinguish one artwork from another.

Who prints your art?
All prints are prepared as individual custom orders through a professional printer. They use a calibrated large format 10 colour giclee ink printer and take a great deal of care with the art they print.

I have selected Ilford Galerie Smooth Cotton Rag for all of my prints. Made from 100% cotton, this acid-free paper offers excellent archival properties and stunning detail reproduction. It features a warm, natural white point with a smooth matte finish. The natural tone adds depth, making it ideal for showcasing both vibrant and subtle images with outstanding clarity. At 310gsm, it’s regarded as one of the finest quality art papers available, ensuring a durable and luxurious finish.

Once the print is produced, I inspect it thoroughly to ensure it meets my high standards of quality. I then hand-sign and edition each piece, before carefully packaging it and sending it to it’s new home.

Can I order a framed print if I live outside of New Zealand?

Due to the fragile nature of framed prints, I have decided not to offer this service to those who live outside of New Zealand. I would be happy to help you find a local framer closer to your home, so please reach out if you would like some guidance on this.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is free for all New Zealand orders.

$40 flat fee for all Australian orders (unframed prints only).

If you would like to purchase a print from anywhere else in the world, please contact me.

A3 prints will generally be shipped flat. All other sizes A2 – A0 will be carefully rolled and shipped in a protective tube.

Will colours look exactly like they do on your website?

An image printed on paper will never look exactly the same as it does on a back lit digital screen. The device that you are viewing the image on, can be influenced by a number of factors such as brightness, colour profiles and pixel quality. I use a calibrated monitor to ensure consistent and accurate colour results during production. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

How long will it take until I receive my order?

Orders are prepared as individual prints through a local professional printer. For orders within New Zealand, delivery should typically take 10-12 business days from the date of purchase. For Australian and international orders, please allow 12-15 business days.

Prints will be shipped in a tube for protection. The paper will naturally develop a curve during transit, but will easily flatten back once unrolled. Further information will be provided once your order has been processed.

These timeframes are estimates only. Once your order is on its way, you will be notified with an approximate delivery date.

If I don’t like it, can I return it?

Unfortunately I do not offer refunds, unless an item has been damaged or there was an error made with the order. I want you to be thrilled with your purchase, so if you have any concerns about your print, please contact me as soon as possible to discuss.

Do you sell digital copies of your images?

I do not sell digital copies of any of my limited edition prints. I work with a small number of commercial clients and if you have a project in mind, please send me an email at hello@nathancossar.co.nz
